Dedicated Rail Freight Corridors
The Western Dedicated Corridor covers a distance of 1504 Km of double line electric track from JNPT to Dadri with connecting spoke to Mundra & PIPAVAV. The Eastern Dedicated Corridor covers a distance of 1856 Km in two segments. An electrified double track segment of 1409 Km between Kolkata (West Bengal) & Khurja (UP) and single track of 447 Km between Khurja and Ludhiana (Punjab) via Dadri.
Future Prospects
The proposed site of Multi Modal Logistics Hub (Freight Village) of DMIC (Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor) is strategically located between NH-91 and the Delhi-Howrah line in close proximity to the point of congruence of the Western and Eastern Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) and also the proposed freight corridor of Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

Multi Modal Logistics Hub (MMLH) at Dadri, Uttar Pradesh has been planned to spur growth and investment in the region. This logistics hub is being structured on a PPP basis. The MMLH facility will support Dedicated Freight Corridor (DFC) towards achieving its targeted potential by providing an integrated logistic facility for efficient storage/ transitioning of goods to/from the UP sub-region of NCR.
